Orthodontic Diagnosis and Treatment Planning
The orthodontic records are carefully analyzed to arrive at correct orthodontic diagnosis. We study the facial skeleton and dental records to determine the extent and location of orthodontic problem. The dental molds are studied, the x rays are evaluated, cephalogram traced , dental and facial photographs are studied to determine the severity of orthodontic problem and establish correct orthodontic diagnosis. Based on the orthodontic diagnosis and patient’s chief concern, detailed treatment plan is chalked out. The treatment plan gives direction towards the ideal outcome of the treatment in terms of esthetics, structure, health and stability of the dentition and facial skeleton.
