Case Description

Sometimes a single tooth extraction is needed to achieve orthodontic objectives. This girl has moderate crowding of maxillary incisors with end on occlusion in the left segment. This type of occlusion is functionally inadequate and may cause TMJ pain and discomfort. Extracting maxillary left first premolar corrected the end on occlusion, corrected the dental midlines, relieved maxillary incisor crowding and protrusion.
