Case Description

Protrusion of maxillary incisors is one of the commonest malocclusion. It is socially challenging for the individual with this condition. Protruded teeth contribute to lip incompetency and more prone for trauma. This condition should be treated orthodontically as soon as it is detected.

When the jaws are proportionate, this can be treated without extraction but when there is jaw discrepancy in adults or non growing children, extraction of teeth may be required.

Correction of incisor protrusion greatly enhances facial esthetics in addition to improving lip competency and incisor function.
